About
About Feed Arkansas Kids
Feed Arkansas Kids is a ministry through the Church at Rock Creek that provides weekend meals for homeless and food insecure children in Central Arkansas. It is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization. The food is purchased by the Church members tithes & offerings and is subsidized by outside contributions from local businesses to help support the growing financial need. The food is ordered through the Arkansas Foodbank Network.
The area school districts work with our volunteers to locate the children in need. We then pack backpacks with breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks for both Saturday and Sunday. The backpacks are delivered to over 38 schools by Friday to the various schools children attend for them to take home for the weekend.
Our program works with the Little Rock School District, North Little Rock School District, Pulaski County Special School District and Sheridan School District. We are currently feeding over 500 children each weekend.
